Aputure 30120 Light Box 30x120 Square Softbox Bowens Mount

The Aputure Light Box 30120 is a narrow rectangular softbox measuring 30x120cm (1x4 feet) designed to produce clean, linear light output from Bowens Mount LED fixtures. Its elongated shape makes it particularly effective for portrait photography, where it creates flattering vertical catchlights and even illumination from head to waist, as well as for edge lighting and accent work where a thin strip of light is needed to separate a subject from the background. The softbox ships with two interchangeable front diffusion panels rated at 1.5 and 2.5 stops, an internal baffle diffuser at 1.5 stops, and a 45-degree eggcrate grid, giving photographers fine-grained control over light intensity, softness, and spill.

Setup and portability are key strengths of this modifier. The quick-folding speed ring eliminates the tedious process of threading individual support rods into fabric channels — the entire softbox opens and locks into shape in seconds, and collapses flat for transport. At just 1.08kg total weight, it adds minimal load to a light stand, and the flat-packing design fits easily into gear bags alongside other modifiers. The universal Bowens Mount makes it compatible not only with Aputure's own COB lights like the LS 300d II and LS 600d Pro, but also with the Amaran 60, 100, and 200 series and any third-party fixture using the Bowens standard.
