Aputure Bowens Mount Barn Doors with Honeycomb Grid

The Aputure Bowens Mount Barn Doors are a purpose-built light shaping accessory designed to give filmmakers and photographers precise control over their Aputure COB lights. The kit includes four barn door leaves constructed from aircraft-grade aluminum with a smooth exterior finish and a black velvet interior lining. This velvet fabric is key to the design — it maximizes light absorption so that when you flag off a portion of the beam, you get a clean cutoff without stray reflections bouncing back into your scene. The included black negative reflector dish further enhances this control, creating a tighter, more directional throw compared to using the standard silver reflector.

Beyond the leaves themselves, the kit includes a 30-degree honeycomb grid that slots in to narrow the beam further, which is especially useful when you need a concentrated pool of light with soft falloff at the edges. The magnetic gel holder rounds out the package, letting you snap color correction or creative gels into place in seconds. While the barn doors are optimized for use with the included black reflector dish, they also mount onto the Aputure Silver Reflector Dish and the Fresnel 2X, giving you flexibility across different lighting setups without needing separate modifier systems.
