Overview
Key Features
SLIMMER CONTROL BOX: The LS 600d’s control box is significantly lighter than the LS 600d Pro’s controller. The LS 600d control box weighs in at 3.24kg (7.14lbs), which is almost half the weight of the LS 600d Pro’s 5.8kg (12.79lbs) control box.
UNIVERSAL BOWENS MOUN: As a member of the Light Storm family, the LS 600d also features an integrated Bowens Mount for easily attaching accessories and modifiers, ranging from the F10 Fresnel for intense brightness to the Light Dome 150 for spectacular softness.
SIDUS LINK APP: While shedding nearly half of its weight, the LS 600d controller still maintains many of the LS 600d control methods and functions, like 2.4G Remote Compatibility, DMX512 In & Out, & Sidus Link.
0-100% DIMMING: Like LS 300d II and 300x, the LS 600d can dim as low as 0% in 1% increments, providing filmmakers and photographers with immensely more control than traditional fixtures and strobes.
CURVED YOKE:The LS 600d lamp head features a curved yoke, similar to the LS 600d pro lamp head, allowing an increased tilt range when used with larger light modifiers—a benefit not found in comparable fixtures.

Pros & Cons
👍 Pros
- Exceptional brightness output — over 29,300 lux at 3 meters with the F10 Fresnel — rivals much larger traditional fixtures
- Control box is nearly half the weight of the LS 600d Pro, making rigging and transport more practical
- Bowens mount compatibility opens up a vast ecosystem of modifiers from Aputure and third parties
- 0–100% dimming in 1% steps with four curve options gives precise exposure control on set
- Multiple control methods including DMX512, 2.4 GHz remote, and Sidus Link Bluetooth app suit any workflow
👎 Cons
- Daylight-only (approximately 5600K) — not suitable for productions that need warm or bicolor output without gels
- High price point puts it out of reach for hobbyists and small-budget productions
- Requires a separate control box connected by cable, adding bulk and setup time compared to all-in-one fixtures
- Fan noise from the control box may be audible in very quiet recording environments
