It features two independent recording channels, each capable of recording up to 4K 60p, paired with dual 7-inch HDR monitors rated at 3000 nits for accurate on-set or control room monitoring. The unit records to industry-standard codecs including Apple ProRes RAW, ProRes, Avid DNxHR, and CinemaDNG, giving editors and colorists flexibility to work in their preferred format without transcoding.

Connectivity is a key strength of the Shogun Studio II. It provides both 4K/HD SDI and HDMI inputs and outputs with built-in cross-conversion, making it straightforward to integrate into production environments that mix signal types. Each channel includes stereo XLR audio input and output with 48V phantom power, enabling direct connection of professional microphones without external preamps. For multicam workflows, the unit can record up to four SDI ISO feeds simultaneously at HD 60p. Five Atomos Master II Caddies are included for SSD-based media, and the unit ships with rack ears, rubber feet for desktop use, and dual IEC power cables — ready for immediate deployment in a rack or on a desk.
