The Atomos Ninja 5 is a 5.2-inch 4K HDMI recording monitor designed to sit atop your camera and serve as both a high-quality field monitor and an external recorder. By capturing video directly from your camera's HDMI output, the Ninja 5 bypasses internal compression and records in professional post-production-ready formats including Apple ProRes, Avid DNxHD, and H.265 (HEVC) at up to 4Kp60. For supported cameras, it can also capture up to 6Kp30 in Apple ProRes RAW, preserving maximum flexibility for color grading and finishing.

Running AtomOS 11, the Ninja 5 delivers a clean, modern interface with improved memory management and faster touch responsiveness. New workflow tools like RecordAssist and PlayBackAssist allow you to pre-arrange recording and playback sessions, streamlining on-set operations. The unit also supports Atomos Connect, enabling wireless screen sharing with other Atomos devices, iPads, Macs, and Apple TVs — either on the same local network or remotely via Atomos RemoteView.
