The Avid G2 CleanSweep is a 140mm one-piece steel disc brake rotor engineered for consistent braking on mountain bikes, gravel rigs, and trail setups. Its CleanSweep design features strategically placed slots and cutouts across the braking surface that serve a dual purpose: they channel heat away from the rotor during sustained braking and sweep debris from the pad interface, which reduces noise and maintains predictable modulation. At just 94 grams, it is notably light for a steel rotor, making it particularly attractive for weight-conscious cross-country riders or as a rear rotor where maximum stopping force is less critical.

Mounting uses the industry-standard 6-bolt pattern, and Avid includes the rotor bolts in the box for tool-ready installation. The rotor is compatible with all pad compounds — organic, semi-metallic, and sintered — giving riders flexibility to tune their braking feel without worrying about rotor compatibility. While designed and optimized for SRAM and Avid BB series mechanical disc brakes, the standard 6-bolt interface means it will physically fit any compatible caliper. Avid rotors of the same diameter are fully interchangeable within the lineup, so replacing a worn rotor or standardizing across wheels is straightforward.
