The Behringer SD8 is a digital stage box designed to serve as the on-stage I/O hub for AES50-networked live sound systems. Its 8 Midas-designed, fully programmable microphone preamps capture clean audio with low noise and generous headroom, while the 8 servo-balanced XLR outputs handle monitor sends, sidefills, or front-of-house feeds. All preamp parameters can be controlled remotely from a connected mixer, eliminating the need to make adjustments at the stage position during a performance.

Connectivity centers on dual AES50 ports using KLARK TEKNIK SuperMAC technology, which delivers ultra-low jitter and latency over standard shielded Cat5e cable runs up to 100 meters. This makes cable management far simpler than running individual analog snakes across a venue. The SD8 also integrates a 2-port ULTRANET distribution hub, allowing direct connection of Behringer P16-M personal monitoring mixers so performers can dial in their own on-stage mix. For TURBOSOUND speaker systems with ULTRANET capability, the SD8 can pass digital audio and control data directly. Its compact footprint makes it a practical choice for smaller stages, corporate events, or houses of worship where a full 16- or 32-channel stage box would be overkill.
