The Blackmagic Design Fairlight Desktop Console is a dedicated hardware control surface engineered for audio post-production within DaVinci Resolve's Fairlight audio environment. Featuring 12 motorized faders, the console gives audio editors and mixers direct, physical control over track levels with automatic fader recall that reflects the current mix state whenever tracks or banks are switched. Each fader channel includes its own LCD status display, providing at-a-glance information about track names, levels, and routing without diverting attention to the computer screen. Touch-sensitive encoder knobs deliver precise control over parameters such as EQ, panning, and dynamics processing, responding to the user's touch to activate the relevant controls in the software.

The console connects to the host computer via USB-C for a clean single-cable setup and includes an HDMI output for driving an external monitor with expanded metering, track overview, and graphical feedback from the Fairlight audio engine. Illuminated buttons and dedicated navigation and transport controls allow users to move through timelines, select tracks, and execute common tasks without reaching for a keyboard or mouse.
