Unlike standard graduated ND filters that place maximum density at the top edge and fade downward, this reverse design positions its strongest 3-stop (ND8) density at the center of the filter — exactly where the horizon line and sun sit in a typical composition. The density then gradually decreases to 2 stops (ND4) toward the upper portion, allowing the brighter sky directly above the horizon to be tamed while leaving the upper sky and foreground less affected.
