Tom's Guide and MakeUseOf note the 1/1.3-inch sensor delivers about a one-stop low-light advantage over the Action 3, keeping evening and indoor footage sharp and usable, with 4K up to 120 fps and a 10-bit D-Log M profile for color grading. Dual bright touchscreens (~750 nits) stay visible in sun, RockSteady stabilization is strong, and it's waterproof to 18 m bare (60 m cased). Honest cons

Battery varies widely. The ~160-minute rating only holds in ideal settings; high res/fps, screens-on and cold all cut it.
No 8K. Video tops out at 4K — fine for most, but not a resolution leader.
Modes can trim runtime. Some high-quality modes draw more than the Action 3 did.
Accessory ecosystem cost. Getting the most (mounts, extra batteries) adds up.
