The Elgato Prompter is designed to solve a persistent problem for content creators and remote professionals: reading text while looking directly into the camera. Unlike traditional teleprompter rigs that require you to supply and mount a tablet or smartphone, the Prompter includes its own built-in screen that registers as a standard monitor on your computer. This means you can drag any application onto it — a script editor, Twitch chat overlay, Zoom call, or browser window — and read it through the beam-splitter glass while your camera captures natural, direct eye contact.

Camera compatibility is a particular strength.
