The Elite Screens Evanesce is a 106-inch motorized projection screen engineered for permanent in-ceiling installation. When retracted, the screen disappears entirely into its white-finish housing, leaving your room free of visible home theater equipment. When activated — via the included IR or RF remotes, a 3-way wall switch, or a 5–12 volt trigger from your projector or automation system — a tubular motor smoothly lowers the screen into position. The 16:9 aspect ratio and 52-by-92.4-inch viewing area are sized for widescreen content including movies, sports, and gaming.

The screen surface uses Elite's MaxWhite FG material, a fiberglass-backed fabric that resists wrinkling and maintains a flat, uniform surface. With a 1.1 gain rating and 180-degree viewing angle, it delivers consistent brightness across the full viewing area without significant hot-spotting, making it forgiving of off-center seating positions. The material is rated for 4K Ultra HD and Active 3D content, ensuring compatibility with high-resolution projectors. For commercial and safety-conscious installations, the screen carries NFPA 701 flame retardant certification, GreenGuard Gold environmental certification, and a plenum rating. The primary installation consideration is that the recessed design requires adequate ceiling depth and framing to support the screen housing, which typically means planning during construction or renovation rather than as a simple retrofit.
