Fujifilm Prescale High Pressure Film Tactile Sensor PSI

The Fujifilm Prescale High Pressure (HS) film is a pressure-indicating sensor that reveals the distribution and magnitude of surface contact pressure between any two mating, touching, or impacting surfaces. When placed between two surfaces and compressed, the film undergoes a color change that ranges from light to dark in direct proportion to the pressure applied. This reaction occurs in less than a millisecond, making it capable of capturing data from high-speed impacts as well as sustained clamping forces. The resulting color map provides an intuitive, at-a-glance picture of where pressure is concentrated, where it is uneven, and where contact may be absent entirely.

This High Pressure grade covers a range of 7,100 to 18,500 PSI (500 to 1,300 kg/cm²), positioning it for applications such as bolted joint verification, press and die alignment, lamination nip pressure analysis, and heat seal bar inspection. The film ships on a roll measuring 1 foot by 10.6 inches and can be cut to any shape with scissors or a laser. Because the color change is permanent, the exposed film serves as a durable record that can be archived, photographed, or digitized with Fujifilm's analysis tools for precise PSI quantification. All rolls are guaranteed to retain at least 18 months of usable shelf life at the time of purchase.
