The GoPro Light Mod (ALTSC-001) is a purpose-built LED accessory designed to solve one of the most common challenges action camera users face: insufficient lighting. With a maximum output of 200 lumens across four brightness settings, it produces a wide, even beam that fills the frame without harsh hotspots. The included snap-on diffuser further softens the light, making it especially useful for vlogging, close-up work, and indoor filming. Its built-in rechargeable battery delivers up to 6 hours of runtime, so it can easily keep pace with a full day of shooting on lower brightness settings.

Built to the same rugged standards as GoPro cameras, the Light Mod is waterproof to 33 feet (10 meters), allowing it to perform in rain, snow, and underwater environments without a separate housing. While it integrates directly with HERO8 through HERO12 Black cameras via the Media Mod, it is equally capable as a standalone light—mount it on any GoPro accessory using the included 2-finger adapter and use it as a fill light, bike light, or portable lamp.
