The Hollyland Pyro S targets camera operators and small production crews who want to cut the cable between camera and monitor without sacrificing much in the way of responsiveness. Its headline numbers are a 1300ft line-of-sight range and a 0.05-second latency, a figure low enough to make wireless focus pulling and directing feel close to a wired connection. Signal quality reaches up to 4K30 at 8-12 Mbps, and the system rides the 2.4 GHz and 5 GHz dual band with Auto Frequency Hopping to hold the link steady when the airwaves get crowded. It is a tool built for the practical reality of a set, where one feed rarely serves just one screen.

That multi-destination design is where the Pyro S earns its keep: a single transmitter can distribute to as many as four receivers, or to two receivers and two mobile devices at once. On the hardware side, the transmitter offers HDMI and SDI inputs while the receiver provides HDMI and SDI outputs, covering the two connection standards most production gear relies on. Power is deliberately flexible, drawing from either DC or NP-F series batteries, with LCD displays on both units reporting battery level. The bundle is generous, including two NPF-570 batteries, a dual bay charger, seven antennas, a 12V/2A adapter, a rotatable cold shoe mount, a USB-C OTG adapter, and Solid Signal cable ties, so most operators can rig it out of the box.
