The Hoodman HEYESW HoodEYE is an aftermarket eyecup designed specifically for Sony's A1, A7S III, and A7 IV mirrorless cameras. Its primary purpose is to create a comfortable, light-sealed connection between your eye and the electronic viewfinder, blocking ambient sunlight that can wash out the EVF image and make it difficult to evaluate exposure, color, and focus. The eyecup is made from hypoallergenic silicone rubber that is soft against the skin, making it notably more comfortable than the hard plastic eyecups that ship with most cameras — a meaningful improvement during long shoots or when wearing glasses.
