The IK Multimedia iRig Mic is a handheld condenser microphone purpose-built for mobile recording. It connects to iPhones, iPads, iPod Touch devices, and Android phones through a tethered 1/8" TRRS cable, turning a smartphone or tablet into a capable recording setup without the need for a separate audio interface. The condenser-electret capsule with a cardioid polar pattern focuses on sound directly in front of the mic while reducing ambient noise and feedback — useful for vocals, interviews, podcasts, and live performance capture.

A three-level gain switch on the mic body gives you control over input sensitivity, letting you adapt to quiet speech or louder vocal performances without touching your device's settings. The built-in headphone jack provides real-time monitoring so you can hear exactly what is being captured as you record. Housed in a rugged metal body, the iRig Mic is built to handle mobile use, and it ships with a mic stand clamp, 5/8" to 3/8" thread adapter, and a carrying pouch. IK Multimedia also includes access to companion audio and video apps to get you recording right out of the box.
