Overview

The Latin Percussion LP234-BK Mini Afuche/Cabasa brings the signature shimmering sound of a traditional cabasa into a compact, lightweight package. Measuring just 2-3/4" in diameter, it features textured steel beads wrapped around a cylinder with a durable plastic frame and handle. Players can rotate the beads against the textured steel surface, spin the entire instrument, or simply shake it to produce a range of rhythmic effects — from soft, brushing textures to crisp, percussive accents.

Designed with low-volume situations in mind, the LP234-BK excels in unplugged jam sessions, studio recordings, classroom settings, and intimate live performances where a full-size cabasa might overpower the mix. Its small footprint and light weight also make it an excellent addition to any percussionist's gig bag, ready to add color and groove whenever the music calls for it. The black finish gives it a sleek, professional appearance on stage or in the studio.
