Latin Percussion LP633 Conga Sound Platform

The Latin Percussion LP633 Conga Sound Platform solves a common problem for floor-playing percussionists: when a conga drum sits directly on a hard floor or carpet, its bottom port is partially or fully blocked, which dampens resonance and reduces overall volume. The LP633 raises the drum on a wooden base with non-slip rubber contact points, creating an air gap beneath the shell that allows sound to project freely. The result is a noticeably fuller, more resonant tone with improved low-end response — all without changing your playing setup or technique.

Measuring approximately 13-1/4 inches in diameter, the platform fits most standard-sized congas securely. The top surface uses raised non-slip rubber to keep the drum from migrating during play, while the underside features a non-slip bottom that grips carpet and stage surfaces. A built-in handle makes the platform easy to pick up and carry, adding minimal weight and bulk to your gear load. For percussionists who prefer the feel and look of floor-playing but want the acoustic benefits of a raised drum, the LP633 is a practical, purpose-built solution from one of the most established names in Latin percussion.
