Overview

The Latin Percussion LP805Z AW Galaxy Giovanni Quinto Conga is the product of a collaboration between LP and legendary conguero Giovanni Hidalgo, one of the most technically accomplished conga players in the world. As an 11-inch quinto — the smallest and highest-voiced drum in the conga family — it is engineered to produce bright, articulate tones that cut through in both live performance and recording situations. The gold-finished hardware not only adds visual distinction but reflects the premium tier this instrument occupies within the LP lineup.

Built for serious players and working musicians, the Galaxy Giovanni Series emphasizes projection, tonal clarity, and responsive playability across slaps, open tones, and heel-tip patterns. The shell construction is designed to deliver the warm resonance Latin Percussion is known for, while the tuning hardware allows for precise head tensioning. Whether used as part of a full conga battery or as a standalone quinto for solo work, this drum is built to perform at a professional level night after night.
