Overview

The Latin Percussion LP844 is an 8-inch replacement drumhead designed for LP's popular LP845 mini-timbales. Constructed from black plastic, it delivers a warm, resonant tone that complements Latin, Afro-Cuban, and fusion percussion styles. The plastic material is more durable and climate-stable than natural skin alternatives, making it a practical choice for both rehearsal and live performance environments where humidity and temperature can fluctuate.

Installation is simple: the LP844 seats onto your existing 8-inch mini-timbale shell and secures with the standard rim and tension lug hardware already on the drum. Once mounted, tuning to your preferred pitch is done by adjusting the tension lugs evenly around the head. As a genuine Latin Percussion replacement part, the LP844 is manufactured to fit LP mini-timbale dimensions precisely, ensuring consistent contact with the bearing edge and reliable sound reproduction across the full dynamic range of the instrument.
