Overview

The Monoprice Caliber Series 107607 is a 3-way in-wall speaker pair built around 6.5-inch aramid fiber woofers, 3.55-inch aramid fiber midbass drivers, and 0.75-inch titanium silk dome tweeters. The three-way crossover network, operating at 12dB per octave, ensures each driver handles the frequency range it reproduces best, resulting in cleaner midrange vocals and more articulate highs than a simpler two-way design. A rear-panel switch lets you attenuate the tweeter by -3dB or -6dB, a practical feature for tailoring brightness to your room's acoustics without adding an external equalizer.

Rated at 80 watts nominal and 160 watts maximum into an 8-ohm load, these speakers are easy to drive with most home audio receivers. The 89dB sensitivity means they'll play at satisfying levels without demanding excessive amplifier power. Installation requires a 10.7" x 7.3" wall cutout, and the paintable grilles allow the 12.0" x 8.7" faceplate to blend with any wall finish. Whether you're building a dedicated home theater, adding background music to a kitchen, or wiring a whole-house audio system, the 107607 pair offers a cost-effective path to clean, articulate in-wall sound.
