Frequently Asked Questions
Does this flooring come with adhesive, or do I need to buy it separately?
Adhesive is not included. You'll need to purchase a pressure-sensitive adhesive separately. Make sure to choose one rated for luxury vinyl plank — standard wood glue or construction adhesive won't work properly and can cause planks to shift or buckle.
Can I install these planks over an existing tile or vinyl floor?
Yes, these planks can be glued down over most existing hard surfaces including tile, stone, vinyl, concrete, and wood subfloors. The surface needs to be clean, flat, and structurally sound. Any grout lines deeper than 1/8 inch in existing tile should be leveled with floor patch compound first to prevent telegraphing through the vinyl.
Is this flooring suitable for bathrooms or basements?
It's water-resistant, so it handles splashes and spills well in bathrooms. It can also be installed below grade, making basements an option. However, it's not waterproof — standing water left for extended periods can seep into seams. Make sure your basement doesn't have active moisture issues before installing.
How thick are these planks, and will they feel sturdy underfoot?
Each plank is 2mm thick (0.08 inches), which is on the thinner side for luxury vinyl. They'll feel firm and stable when properly adhered to a flat subfloor, but they won't mask subfloor imperfections the way thicker click-lock planks (4mm–6mm) would. Subfloor prep is critical with this product.
What does the 25-year residential warranty actually cover?
The warranty covers manufacturing defects, wear-through of the 12MIL wear layer under normal residential use, and staining resistance. It does not cover damage from improper installation, moisture-related issues from inadequate subfloor prep, or heavy commercial traffic beyond the 6-year light commercial rating.
