What's the actual wear layer thickness, and how does it hold up to high-traffic areas?
The wear layer is 12MIL. That's a commercial-grade thickness that resists scratching and scuffing well under regular foot traffic, furniture movement, and pet activity better than thinner 6MIL or 8MIL alternatives.
Is the IXPE underlayment already attached, or do I need to buy it separately?
It's integrated — the IXPE sound reduction underlayment is attached to each plank. You don't need to purchase or install a separate underlayment layer.
Can this flooring be installed in a basement that occasionally gets damp?
