The Neewer RT-16 Wireless Flash Trigger set is built around a simple premise: give studio photographers cable-free strobe control without a complicated setup. The kit ships with one hot-shoe transmitter and three receivers that operate on the 433MHz frequency band across 16 user-selectable channels. Each receiver connects to a studio strobe via the included 3.5mm sync port, and a 3.5mm-to-6.35mm adapter is provided for strobes with the larger jack size. With a working range of up to 30 meters in open conditions, the system covers the vast majority of indoor studio layouts.

Because the RT-16 is a manual trigger system, it fires strobes without TTL communication — you set power levels directly on each flash unit. This keeps the hardware simple and universally compatible with virtually any sync-cord-equipped strobe, regardless of brand. The 1/200-second sync speed is standard for most focal-plane shutters, making it a reliable choice for portrait, product, and general studio photography. The transmitter runs on a single 23A 12V battery (included), while each receiver takes two AAA cells, so it is worth keeping a supply of AAAs on hand for longer sessions.
