Overview

The Neewer GM006 is a fluid drag head designed for videographers who need reliable, smooth motion control without a premium price tag. Built from aluminum alloy, it weighs just 3.1 lbs yet supports payloads up to 22 lbs, making it suitable for mid-size cinema cameras, camcorders, and DSLR/mirrorless rigs with accessories. Its standout feature is the dual quick-release system — a top-loading mechanism that accepts both DJI RS2/RS3/RS3 PRO gimbal plates and standard 501PL plates. This means you can press a plate straight down from above and lock it in roughly one second, then release it with a dedicated button, rather than sliding it in from the side as with traditional Manfrotto-style heads.

Both pan and tilt axes feature stepless fluid damping. The 360° horizontal panning uses an upgraded damping dial for smooth panoramic tracking, while the vertical tilt — ranging from +90° to −75° — is controlled by a separate side knob that you adjust based on your payload weight. The damping holds position when you release the handle, preventing sudden drops. The detachable handle telescopes from 9" to 14", mounts on either side, and includes a bubble level for quick horizon checks. A 75mm flat base with a 3/8" thread attaches to tripods, monopods, or sliders, and side-mounted 1/4" threads let you add monitors, microphones, or LED panels directly to the head.

Key Features

【Pro Heavy Duty Tripod Fluid Head】Made of premium aluminum alloy and weighing only 3.1lb/1.4kg, this heavy duty fluid head is exceptionally robust and can withstand harsh outdoor environments, and offers a maximum load capacity of 22lb/10kg for a firm grip on your heavy camera. The ⌀75mm flat base with a 3/8" threaded hole can be attached to a tripod, monopod, or camera slider, and a built in magnetic L shaped hex key to secure your camera without extra tools

【Stepless Adjustable Panoramic Damping】 Upgraded with an advanced horizontal damping system for precise and smooth 360° panoramic views. Simply rotate to change the fluid damping, effortlessly tracking every image on a constant horizon in any situation. The 9"~14"/23~36cm detachable handle can be mounted on either side for single handed operation and includes a convenient bubble level to always help check the horizontal alignment

【Plus Definable Vertical Tilt Damping】 Use the side knob to adjust the appropriate damping according to the weight of the loaded equipment, and easily achieve +90°/-75° up and down shooting motion. Even if the handle is released, the lens will not drop suddenly, but slide down slowly, always maintaining a dynamic balance. Whether it is low angle, overhead, or vertical, you can get stunning works

【Quick Lock Dual Compatibility QR Plate】 The professional fluid head has two QR modes, compatible with DJI RS2 RS3 RS3 PRO RS4 RS4PRO gimbal(Note:Not compatible with RS5) and compatible with 501PL quick release plates respectively. Compared to the traditional slide in structure, you can press the quick release plate directly from the top of the fluid head and lock it in 1s, as well as quickly release the plate via the release button, more efficient and convenient to switch between tripod and gimbal shooting

【Multiple Mounting Threads】 The 1/4" and 3/8" top screws on the quick release plate are compatible with DSLR cameras, digital cameras, mirrorless cameras, camcorders, and telescopes. Compatible with Sony Canon Nikon and other DSLR cameras. An extra 1/4" screw hole on the side attaches microphones, monitors, or LED lights to further build your photography and videography rig
