Overview

The Novation FLkey 61 is a full-sized MIDI keyboard controller purpose-built for FL Studio producers who want to move beyond mouse-driven workflows. Its 61 keys provide a wide enough range for two-handed playing and composition, while eight assignable pots and nine faders map directly to FL Studio's Mixer and Channel Rack controls. This means volume, pan, and automation adjustments happen in real time under your fingers, without opening assignment menus or configuring templates. Dedicated transport buttons handle play, stop, record, undo, redo, quantize, and metronome, keeping the creative flow uninterrupted.

Where the FLkey 61 distinguishes itself is in its performance and sequencing features. Sequencer Mode turns the velocity-sensitive pads into a hardware extension of FL Studio's step sequencer, letting you program drum patterns and modify sequences directly. Two Pad mode introduces timing variations for a more human rhythmic feel. Scale mode locks the keys to a chosen scale so every note played is musically correct, while three Chord modes allow single-finger chord triggering for rich harmonic layering. The pads also support FPC and SliceX instrument control for expressive beat-making and sample manipulation. Connecting via USB with additional 5-pin MIDI output, the FLkey 61 is compatible with both Mac OS and Windows systems.
