PreSonus Studio 1824C USB-C Audio MIDI Interface

The PreSonus Studio 1824C is a 1U rack-mount USB-C audio and MIDI interface built for project studios, home recording setups, and small production environments that demand flexible I/O without the cost of higher-tier professional systems. At its core are eight XMAX Class A microphone preamps — two on combo XLR/TRS jacks for mic, instrument, or line sources, and six on XLR inputs for microphones and line-level gear — all with switchable +48V phantom power. The 18x20 channel configuration at standard sample rates provides enough simultaneous inputs and outputs for tracking a full band, running multiple monitor feeds, or integrating outboard effects processors.

Connectivity extends beyond the analog inputs with eight channels of ADAT optical I/O (four channels at 96 kHz), S/PDIF digital I/O, MIDI in and out, and a BNC word clock output for synchronizing with external digital gear. The eight DC-coupled balanced TRS line outputs serve double duty for surround monitoring or control voltage use. Two front-panel headphone outputs with independent mix streams allow performers to dial in personalized monitor blends during tracking.
