The Roland Integra-7 is a 1U rack-mount sound module that consolidates an enormous palette of production-ready sounds into a single hardware unit. At its core is Roland's SuperNATURAL sound engine with Behavior Modeling Technology, which goes beyond static sample playback to model the physical behavior of acoustic instruments. This means a bowed string responds to velocity and pressure with natural articulation shifts, and a brass tone transitions smoothly between playing techniques — nuances that are difficult to achieve with conventional sample-based modules. The library exceeds 6,000 tones and includes the complete catalog of all 12 SRX expansion titles that were previously sold as separate add-on boards, covering categories from orchestral and world instruments to vintage synths and acoustic pianos.

The Integra-7 operates as a 16-part multitimbral module, and each part receives its own dedicated multi-effects chain and parametric EQ — a level of per-part processing that is uncommon in hardware. Drum parts get additional dedicated treatment with compressor-plus-EQ processing available on up to six simultaneous instances, along with ambience controls tailored specifically for SuperNATURAL drum kits. The INTEGRA-7 Editor for Mac and Windows provides a graphical interface for navigating the deep parameter set, making sound design and patch management far more efficient than working from the front panel alone.
