The Roland J-6 Chord Synthesizer is a member of the AIRA Compact series, designed to put genuine JUNO-60 synth tones and a powerful chord sequencer into a device that fits in the palm of your hand. At its core is a four-voice synth engine built on Roland's Analog Circuit Behavior (ACB) technology, which meticulously models the analog circuitry of the original JUNO-60 to produce its characteristically warm, lush sound. The J-6 ships with 64 ready-to-play presets derived from the original instrument, giving immediate access to classic pads, leads, and bass tones without any programming required.

Where the J-6 truly distinguishes itself is in its chord-driven workflow. It includes 100 chord sets spanning a wide range of genres, allowing you to tap out rich, harmonically complex progressions with single button presses. Nine arpeggio styles—each with 12 variations—transform static chords into moving rhythmic patterns and melodic lines. The programmable sequencer stores up to 64 user patterns with as many as 64 steps each, so ideas captured in a jam session can be saved, refined, and performed. Real-time filter and envelope controls let you sculpt sounds on the fly, while built-in delay and reverb effects add depth and atmosphere. The J-6 connects via USB Type-C for power and MIDI, making it straightforward to integrate into a larger production setup or pair with other AIRA Compact units.
