The Roland P-6 AIRA Creative Sampler Sequencer is a pocket-sized production tool that brings serious sampling and granular synthesis capabilities to an ultra-portable format. At its core, the P-6 lets you capture audio through its built-in microphone, chop samples into playable segments, and trigger them chromatically and polyphonically from the onboard keyboard. The Chop function automatically slices longer recordings into individual segments mapped across the keys, while Step Sampling provides a streamlined workflow for building split samples assigned to a single pad. You can also resample internal audio to layer and create entirely new sounds from your existing material.

Where the P-6 truly distinguishes itself is in its granular synthesis engine. Extensive parameters including detuning, head position, head speed, spread, and grain count let you deconstruct and reshape samples into evolving pads, glitchy textures, and atmospheric soundscapes that go far beyond simple playback.
