The Roland VQD106 V-Drums Electronic Quiet Drum Kit is engineered from the ground up to solve the noise problem that has long plagued home drummers — even those playing electronic kits. While standard e-drums reduce tonal volume through headphone use, the physical impact of sticks on pads and feet on pedals still transmits vibration through floors and walls. Roland's approach with the VQD106 tackles this at the source with specially designed PDQ-series pads, NEQ-series pedal bases, and a purpose-built stand, collectively achieving up to 75% reduction in playing noise compared to a conventional V-Drums setup.

The five-piece kit includes a PDQ-8S snare with independent head and rim triggering across an 8-inch playing surface and 10-inch rim, three PDQ-8 tom pads, a KDQ-8 kick pad, and three CYQ-12 cymbals covering hi-hat, crash, and ride positions. An FD-9 hi-hat control pedal rounds out the hardware. The included TD-07 module serves as the brain of the kit, providing a library of drum and percussion sounds, built-in practice tools, and USB connectivity for recording to a computer or using third-party drum software. All connection cables are included, so the kit is ready to play out of the box.
