Shure PGXD14/PGA31-X8 Digital Wireless Headworn Mic System

The Shure PGXD14/PGA31-X8 is a complete digital wireless system built around the PGA31 headset microphone, targeting presenters, fitness instructors, worship leaders, and performers who need hands-free operation with reliable audio quality. Unlike analog wireless systems that can introduce companding artifacts, the PGXD platform transmits audio in 24-bit / 48 kHz digital format, preserving the natural detail and dynamic range of the speaker's voice from microphone to receiver output. The system operates in the 900 MHz ISM band, and its automatic scan-and-sync feature identifies the cleanest available channel and pairs the transmitter and receiver at the press of a button — no manual frequency charts or coordination required.

The PGXD1 bodypack transmitter clips to a belt or waistband and connects to the PGA31 headset via a TA4F connector, which also accepts other compatible Shure microphone elements if a different pickup pattern or form factor is needed. Two AA batteries power up to 10 hours of continuous transmission, and the PGXD4 tabletop receiver provides both XLR and quarter-inch outputs for connecting to mixers, powered speakers, or PA systems.
