The Shure SLXD14/85-G58 is a digital wireless lavalier microphone system built around Shure's SLX-D platform, which uses digital predictive switching diversity to maintain a stable, dropout-free signal. The system ships as a complete package: the WL185 cardioid condenser lavalier microphone, the SLXD1 bodypack transmitter, the SLXD4 single-channel receiver, antennas, rackmount hardware, a zippered carrying bag, and two AA batteries. With 24-bit, 48 kHz audio conversion and a 120 dB dynamic range, the system captures the full detail of speech and musical performances without the artifacts associated with older analog or companded digital systems.

Designed for presenters, houses of worship, live performers, and corporate AV environments, the SLXD14/85 offers 44 MHz of tuning bandwidth within the G58 band (470-514 MHz) and provides access to 32 selectable channels. The built-in RF Scan identifies the cleanest available frequency, while IR Sync pairs the transmitter and receiver in seconds. The bodypack transmitter runs up to 8 hours on two AA batteries or can be upgraded to Shure's rechargeable SB903 battery for ongoing cost savings. With a 330-foot line-of-sight operating range and the ability to coordinate up to 10 systems in a single 6 MHz TV band, the SLXD14/85 scales from simple single-presenter setups to complex multi-channel installations.
