Like each and every Global Vision Lens, the Sigma 135mm F1.8 DG HSM Art is handcrafted at our single factory in Aizu, Japan and undergoes individual evaluation before leaving Sigma’s facility
Optics – The Sigma 135mm 1.8 DG HSM Art has three F Low Dispersion (FLD) and two Special Low Dispersion (SLD) elements are featured in the design, and help to reduce color fringing and chromatic aberrations for improved clarity and color accuracy. One aspherical element is used to limit distortion and spherical aberrations and also contributes to greater overall sharpness and accurate rendering. The large 105mm-diameter front improves peripheral illumination in order to reduce vignetting.
Focus - a Hyper Sonic AF motor provides fast, accurate focusing and a large focusing ring permits manual focus override for making fine adjustments.The integrated HSM (Hyper Sonic Motor) realizes quick and quiet autofocusing, which is further complemented by an optimized AF algorithm to produce smoother focusing performance. The HSM also permits full-time manual focus control simply by rotating the focus ring at any time.
