The Sirui ADP125X is a 1.25x anamorphic adapter designed to mount on the front of compatible lenses via an 82mm rear thread, converting their output with a consistent 1.25x horizontal squeeze. Used on a standard spherical lens, it introduces anamorphic characteristics — oval bokeh, horizontal flares, and a wider captured field of view that is de-squeezed in post-production. Its most compelling application, however, is pairing with Sirui's own Venus series full-frame 1.6x anamorphic lenses, where the multiplication yields a true 2x squeeze factor.
