The SmallHD 702 Touch is a 7-inch on-camera monitor designed for full-time professional use in demanding production environments. Its milled aluminum chassis is built to handle daily rigging, transport, and the inevitable bumps of location work. The IPS LCD panel outputs 1500 nits of brightness — enough to remain clearly visible in direct sunlight — while delivering 1920x1200 resolution and a 160-degree viewing angle that keeps the image accurate even when the monitor cannot be positioned directly in front of the operator.

Color accuracy is central to the 702 Touch's value proposition. The display covers 100% of the DCI-P3 color gamut with 10-bit color processing, making it a reliable reference for cinematographers and colorists who need to evaluate exposure and color on set. The monitor accepts signals through both 3G-SDI and HDMI 2.0 inputs, covering virtually all professional camera outputs. SmallHD's PageBuilder OS provides a touchscreen-driven interface to professional monitoring tools including Focus Peaking, HD Waveform, and 3D LUT loading. An ethernet port enables direct camera control for compatible RED cameras, though this feature requires a separate cable and license.
