The Sony ILME-FX6V is a full-frame Cinema Line camera built for filmmakers who need high-end image quality without the bulk of traditional cinema rigs. At its core is a 10.2-megapixel back-illuminated Exmor R CMOS sensor paired with the BIONZ XR image processor, delivering over 15 stops of dynamic range and dual base ISO settings at 800 and 12,800. This makes the FX6 exceptionally capable in low-light environments while preserving highlight and shadow detail. It records oversampled 4K at up to 120fps in 10-bit 4:2:2 XAVC-I, and supports Sony's S-Cinetone color science for natural skin tones straight out of camera, as well as S-Log3 for maximum flexibility in post-production color grading.
