A traditional hard gate mode is also available for situations where aggressive, instant noise cutoff is preferred.

The dedicated Send/Return loop is a standout feature that elevates the Sentry above most competing noise gates. By inserting noisy pedals — such as high-gain overdrives, distortions, or fuzz units — into this loop, the Sentry can detect your clean guitar signal before it hits those effects and use that cleaner signal to make gating decisions. This results in dramatically more accurate and responsive noise suppression compared to placing a gate after the noisy pedals in a standard signal chain.
