The Universal Audio UAD-2 Satellite USB Octo Core is an external DSP accelerator that offloads plug-in processing from your computer's CPU to eight dedicated SHARC processors. Connecting via USB 3 to Windows-based PCs, it allows producers, mix engineers, and musicians to run UAD's acclaimed library of analog-modeled plug-ins — emulations of classic hardware from Neve, SSL, Ampex, Lexicon, and more — without bogging down their DAW. The included Analog Classics Plus bundle provides essential tools like the UA 610-B Preamp, LA-2A Audio Leveler, and 1176 Limiting Amplifier right out of the box.

The Octo Core configuration is particularly suited for dense mixing sessions where multiple instances of processor-intensive plug-ins are needed across many tracks.
