The Westcott Rapid Box 26" Octa Speedlite Modifier Kit (W2035) is designed for portrait photographers and content creators who need a professional lighting setup that travels easily and deploys quickly. The centerpiece is the Rapid Box Switch Octa-S, a 26-inch octagonal softbox built on Westcott's umbrella-inspired aluminum framework. Unlike conventional softboxes that require you to thread individual metal rods into a speed ring — a process that can take several minutes and risks bending the rods — the Rapid Box opens and locks into shape in one motion, much like opening an umbrella. This makes it ideal for location work where time and convenience matter.

The kit pairs the softbox with a speedlight adapter ring that securely mounts shoe-mount flashes inside the modifier, positioning the flash head to fire into the interior of the box. The included deflector plate sits in front of the flash, bouncing light back into the softbox walls so it wraps around and passes through the front diffusion panel evenly — eliminating the concentrated hot spot that a bare speedlite would create.
