Yamaha TMP2F4CRS Tour Custom Maple 4pc Drum Shell Pack Caramel Satin

The Yamaha Tour Custom Maple TMP2F4CRS is a four-piece shell pack built for working drummers who demand professional sound without the flagship price tag. Drawing on the tonal heritage of Yamaha's acclaimed Maple Custom Absolute series, the Tour Custom uses 6-ply, 5.6 mm all-U.S. maple shells with a 45-degree bearing edge. This combination delivers a warm, bright fundamental tone with quick attack and controlled sustain — characteristics that translate well across rock, pop, funk, jazz, and studio work. The satin lacquer finish is more than cosmetic; it allows the maple shell to breathe and resonate naturally, contributing to the kit's open, musical character.

Hardware details elevate the Tour Custom beyond typical mid-range offerings. The 2.3 mm Inverse DynaHoop rims rein in the sometimes unruly overtones of all-maple drums, giving each shell a focused, tuneable voice. Yamaha's Y.E.S.S. mounting system isolates the rack toms from the hardware, preserving resonance that traditional mounts would choke. The included triple tom mount with TH-945B ball clamps provides stable, adjustable positioning for the 10" and 12" rack toms. With a 22"x16" kick anchoring the low end and a 16"x15" floor tom filling out the midrange, this shell pack covers the standard sizes most players need for live performance and recording alike.
