The Zoom H1n Handy Recorder is a compact, pocket-sized audio recorder built around a pair of stereo X/Y condenser microphones set at a 90-degree angle. This configuration captures a focused stereo image with strong center detail and natural spatial separation, making it effective for recording music, interviews, lectures, field sounds, and film dialogue. The recorder supports WAV files up to 24-bit/96kHz resolution as well as MP3 format, and its built-in limiter, low-cut filter, and pre-record buffer help you capture clean audio even when conditions are unpredictable. The microphones handle up to 120 dB SPL, so loud sources like drum kits and amplified performances won't cause clipping.

Operation is designed to be as simple as possible — a single button starts and stops recording, and the menu system displayed on the 1.25-inch monochrome LCD is navigated with minimal controls. Additional features include overdubbing, playback speed control, a self-timer, and auto-record mode that begins capture when the input signal crosses a set threshold. This bundle pairs the H1n with the APH-1n accessory pack, which includes a foam windscreen for reducing wind noise outdoors, a padded shell case for protection, an adjustable tripod stand, a USB cable for file transfer and firmware updates, and an MA-2 adapter for mounting the recorder on a standard mic stand. Steinberg Cubase LE and WaveLab LE software licenses are also included for editing and mixing after recording.
