Frequently Asked Questions
Can the MD6972 play burned CD-R and CD-RW discs, not just store-bought CDs?
Yes — the top-loading drive supports CD-R and CD-RW formats in addition to standard CDs. If you still have burned mix discs from the past decade, they'll play without issue on the MD6972.
How does Bluetooth pairing work, and does it remember previously paired devices?
Pairing follows standard Bluetooth protocol — put the MD6972 in pairing mode, find it on your phone or tablet, and connect. Most consumer Bluetooth devices remember the last paired source, so reconnection on subsequent uses is typically automatic when you're in range.
Does the MD6972 run on batteries, or does it require an AC outlet?
The MD6972 is AC-powered only — it requires a standard wall outlet and does not include a battery option. This makes it better suited to a fixed location like a bedroom, kitchen, or dorm room rather than outdoor or portable use.
Do the color-changing lights work with every audio source — Bluetooth, CD, and radio?
Yes. The lights pulsate to the beat of whatever audio is playing regardless of the source — CD, Bluetooth stream, or AM/FM radio. They respond to the audio signal itself, so the visual effect tracks the music dynamically.
Is there an output for headphones if you want private listening?
Yes, the MD6972 includes a 3.5mm headphone jack. Plugging in headphones will typically mute the speakers, giving you private listening from any of the three audio sources.
