Sony BDPS6500-REGFREE 4K Blu-ray Player - Region Free

The Sony BDPS6500-REGFREE is a modified region-free Blu-ray player built on Sony's BDP-S6500 platform. It removes the region restrictions found on standard retail models, allowing playback of Blu-ray discs from regions A, B, and C, as well as standard DVDs from regions 0 through 8. This makes it particularly useful for anyone who collects discs from different countries or has relocated internationally. The player also handles both PAL and NTSC video systems with full conversion, so discs will display correctly regardless of your television's native format.

Beyond region-free playback, the player offers 4K upscaling that enhances 1080p Blu-ray content for display on 4K televisions, along with 3D Blu-ray support. Connectivity options include HDMI output, coaxial audio output, Ethernet, USB, and built-in Wi-Fi for accessing over 300 streaming apps. The 110-240V power supply means the unit works anywhere in the world without a voltage converter, and an EU plug adapter is included in the box alongside an HDMI cable for immediate setup.
