Overview

The Sony D-EJ001 CD Walkman is a straightforward portable CD player built around reliability and ease of use. Its compact full-circle design measures just 5.5 by 5.5 by 1.1 inches, making it easy to toss into a bag or carry by hand. Sony's G-Protection anti-skip technology continuously buffers audio data so playback recovers almost instantly from bumps and jostling, whether you're walking, jogging, or riding public transit. The player supports standard CDs along with CD-R and CD-RW formats, giving you the flexibility to listen to store-bought albums or your own custom mixes.

On the audio side, Digital Mega Bass provides a noticeable low-end boost for genres that benefit from deeper bass response, and eight playback modes — including repeat, shuffle, and programmable track order — let you customize your listening session. The included clip-style ear bud headphones offer a snug fit right out of the box, while a two-position Automatic Volume Limiter System (AVLS) helps protect your hearing by capping output levels. Powered by 2 AA batteries, the D-EJ001 delivers over 12 hours of continuous playback, making it well-suited for long trips or daily commutes where charging isn't convenient.
