Canon 6784C002 PFI-4100 PGY Lucia PRO II Ink Tank

The Canon PFI-4100 PGY is a Photo Gray ink tank from Canon's LUCIA PRO II ink system, engineered specifically for the imagePROGRAF PRO-1100 large-format printer. The LUCIA PRO II formulation is built around a broader color gamut than its predecessor, with particular improvements in gloss uniformity and anti-bronzing performance. For photographers and fine art printmakers, this translates to smoother tonal transitions, more accurate shadow detail, and consistent surface sheen — especially important when printing on glossy and semi-gloss media where bronzing and uneven reflectance can undermine image quality.

Each tank holds 80mL of ink and is designed for quick, clean replacement without interrupting a print run. The Photo Gray ink plays a specific role within the 12-color system, contributing to neutral gray balance and subtle tonal gradations that are essential for black-and-white photography and images with complex shadow detail. Canon emphasizes the use of genuine ink to maintain print quality and printer reliability, and the PFI-4100 line is no exception — each tank is individually sealed and marked with Canon branding to ensure authenticity and consistent chemical formulation across batches.
