Overview

The Canon CLI-42 Y is the yellow ink tank in Canon's eight-color CLI-42 ink system, engineered specifically for the PIXMA PRO-100 photo printer. Built around Canon's ChromaLife 100+ technology, it is formulated to produce prints with rich, accurate color and strong resistance to fading over time — qualities that matter for photographers and artists producing display-quality work. Because the PIXMA PRO-100 uses individual ink tanks for each color, the CLI-42 Y can be replaced independently, so you are not discarding unused ink when only one color is depleted.

As a genuine Canon consumable, the CLI-42 Y is manufactured to meet Canon's specifications for ink viscosity, color density, and nozzle compatibility, reducing the risk of clogs, banding, or color shifts that can occur with non-OEM alternatives. For users who depend on the PIXMA PRO-100 for consistent, professional-grade photo output, this ink tank is a key component in maintaining the print quality the printer was designed to deliver.
