What fan speed range do the ML120 RGB ELITE fans operate across, and how loud are they at maximum?
The three 120mm ML ELITE fans are PWM-controlled from 450 RPM to 2,000 RPM. At the 450 RPM floor they are effectively inaudible under most ambient conditions; at 2,000 RPM they produce clearly audible noise. Zero RPM fan mode in iCUE drops them completely to silent under light loads.
Does the H150i ELITE LCD require the iCUE software to function, or does it operate without it?
The cooler operates for cooling purposes without iCUE installed. However, LCD display customization, fan curve configuration, RGB lighting control, and Zero RPM mode all require iCUE software. Without it, the unit runs on default pump and fan profiles with limited display output.
What does the included COMMANDER CORE controller do, and is it required?
The COMMANDER CORE is a hub that connects up to six RGB fans and manages their speed and lighting in coordination with iCUE. It is the central controller for the system's lighting and fan ecosystem.
