This model can produce 1200 x 1200 dpi prints at speeds of 7 ppm for color and 10 ppm for black, accepting media up to 8.5 x 14" legal down to 3 x 5" paper. Borderless printing is available for media as big as 8.5 x 11", while scanning jobs can be done on a letter-size flatbed at an optical resolution of 1200 dpi. Automatic duplexing and dual-sided copying are supported. However, scanning and copying need to be done manually.
The ENVY 5055 can connect to your computer via USB 2.0 for standard printing, or use its built-in Wi-Fi functionality for wireless direct printing. It also allows you to easily send jobs from your mobile phone via Mopria, Apple AirPrint, and HP ePrint, among other apps.
A 2.2" touchscreen LCD display is used to show current print job, ink levels, and can be used to change settings. For handling media, the unit counts with a 100-sheet input tray and a 25-sheet output tray. Finally, the unit is designed to be durable with a rated monthly duty cycle of up to 1000 pages.
